R. Kurtz (Kurt) Holloway

R. Kurtz “Kurt" Holloway was admitted to practice in 1977 in Pennsylvania and later in the Eastern District Federal Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. Holloway’s areas of concentration are Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Elder and Disability Planning, Real Estate Law, Zoning and Land Development, Business Law and Municipal Law.

Advising clients about estate, elder and disability planning are very important and personal parts of Mr. Holloway’s practice. Care is always taken to assure that his clients consider their personal and financial circumstances during planning with a goal of determining the necessary documents to be prepared which may include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced health care directives and living wills. He has authored an Estate Planning Guide, Power of Attorney Guide and Advance Health Care Directive Guide. He has also written extensively in this field to inform his clients and the public in order to help them successfully implement a thoughtful plan. Mr. Holloway also speaks to community organizations on these topics upon request.

Mr. Holloway recognizes that clients who are tasked with administering an estate want the job to be as easy, quick and affordable as possible. He shares that goal, but never at the expense of assuring that his clients understand their fiduciary obligations. Mr. Holloway’s personal experience serving as executor to estates and trustee to trusts also gives him the "client’s" perspective.

During his 38 plus years of real estate practice, Mr. Holloway has represented hundreds of buyers, sellers, developers, commercial landlords and commercial tenants in matters ranging from closings and documentation to more complex, multi-lot development, zoning appeals and land use approvals.

Over the years, Mr. Holloway has advised scores of small business clients on all aspects of their business and personal legal issues such as buy-sell and other owner agreements, business formation, expansion, asset acquisition, employee issues and dissolution.

Mr. Holloway’s municipal law experience includes many areas of practice such as land use, zoning board practice and procedure, public contracts, employment law and various municipal codes. He is solicitor for several municipal bodies as well as serving as special solicitor upon request.

Mr. Holloway has been actively involved in the Greater Pottstown area for over 38 years by serving on the following boards: Lower Pottsgrove Township Board of Commissioners, Lower Pottsgrove Township Authority, Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Planning Commission and as board member on numerous charitable organizations such as the Child Development Foundation, Steel River Playhouse, Pottstown Public Library, Helping Hands, Inc. and various committees at his church.
